Whether you are looking for a full design and implementation service or simply a few pointers to get you started, with Landsmiths you are sure to find satisfaction. We have over 30 yrs experience in the Auckland region developing fabulous landscape and swimming pool projects. However, you may not know us, so please ask to see the many referrals and photographs of existing projects we have carried out or, better still, simply view our online portfolio for more information. We don’t expect you to pay up front for our full service. Working in stages, allows you to evaluate our proposal before moving to the next step. The three stages are set out below.

At Your Home or Residential Project Site

Stage one is an on-site consultation of typically one hour's duration. During this consultation, we carry out an evaluation of your project to determine priorities, budgets and suitable materials. We look at the scope of your project and its design elements and site issues, and highlight any potential council requirements. Landsmiths are familiar with local by laws and how they can affect your proposed project. At this stage we provide rough design concepts to establish suitable guidelines. This allows you to determine whether you would like changes and whether you wish us to continue with the project.

Your Very Own Design

Stage two is a quotation for the design stage. Landsmiths work only with the country’s top landscape architects and designers. Our designers and architects are as individual as your project, so matching the best designer-architect to your project is a very important aspect of success. This is where our experience really counts. Understanding your particular needs is our speciality. Many projects fall into the $600-$1500 price range for the design phase. We consider the cost of this design work and determine if a full-blown drawing is required or whether a less detailed concept drawing is feasible. More elaborate projects can cost as much as $5,000 or more. You control the costs because you set the requirements. If a plant schedule is required, please allow another $900 to $1500 (approx) on top of the drawing cost. This cost varies according to how complex and detailed you desire your design to be. On completion, an approximate cost estimate is provided for budgetary purposes. A fully itemised quote can be prepared once the project proceeds. We aim to complete the design within 21 days, though this depends to some extent upon the scale and complexity of the project, concept drawings and plant schedules.

Placing Your Order

Stage three, is the creation of your fabulous new landscape or pool. This next step is easy. Simply pay the necessary deposit, sign our standard contract, and away we go. Building and/or resource consents are acquired where necessary, and our talented team of trade professionals is orchestrated to carry out the creation under the supervision of our highly organised Project Managers. Meanwhile, with the placement of your order, you can sit back, relax, and dream about your wonderful new project knowing that it is in the best of hands.
